The MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 Laptop has been seen to be an amazing but underrated product around the Gaming Laptop Market for a couple of months now.
It still remains $100 less than what it is being sold for by other sellers. The good thing is that IMO, even at the price other sellers are selling it for, I think it is a decent buy based on its specs. Therefore, getting it at Amazon from the link shared above, would even make it a better buy.

Here are some questions you may ask:
Question # 1: How good is its display ?
Actually , it has a decent display. Apart from having great refresh rate and response time, its display panel unlike some cheaper MSI laptops, has great viewing angles and is quite color accurate. It covers a little less than the 100% sRGb color gamut, Amazon advertises, but still produces very vibrant and vivid images. It is also has about 270 – 290 nits bright which is actually, very good.
Question #2: Is the full RTX 2070 that it has ?
Yes, it does have a full mobile RTX 2070 8 GB graphics card. This of course, when paired with the i7-10750H, provides some serious fire power for gaming.
Question #3: Can it’s storage be upgraded ?
Yes, its storage can be upgraded. It comes with a 512 GB NVMe SSD and an empty 2.5” bay that can either accommodate a hard drive or a 2.5 inches SSD.
Question #4: Can it’s memory be upgraded?
Like its storage, its memory can also be upgraded. It comes with 16GB (8G*2) DDR4 2666MHz RAM but can hold a maximum of 64 GB. To take be able to hold that amount of memory though, you would have to replace both 8 GB sticks with two 32 GB sticks since it has only two RAM slots. It’s the same principle if you wish to upgrade to any bigger memory than 16 GB RAM and still take advantage of dual channel technology.
Question #5: Is it good for gaming?
Short answer, yes. This laptop should comfortably run the latest and most demanding games on high settings.
Question #6: How well does it manage heat?
Much information from tests done on this exact 10th gen CPU unit isn’t available as yet, but it has the exact cooling solution as its 9th gen predecessor, with a similar graphics card and processor with identical TDP and not far off in architecture. This should get quite warm externally, under workload , but overall temperatures of processor especially should be below what is not accepted, which is good. Repasting processor and slight undervolting will add well to its heat management.
Question #7: How good is it’s battery life?
This laptop comes with a 6 cell (51Whr) battery. Short answer, you will get around 3.5 hours on basic computing tasks. For more gaming and more demanding tasks, expect about half of that. The truth is, that is not awful for its specs as most laptops that powerful will give you battery performance along that line.
Question #8:Does it have programmable keys?
Yes, it has a fully programmable RGB keyboard that allows you to set a specific color for each of it’s keys.
Question #9: What are its down side ?
To be frank:
- I wish it had another NVMe SSD slot
- I wish it had a Thunderbolt port.
BTW, here is the MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 in case you want to buy.
